This service is for Hen's Bread Productions clients first.

Our post-production service is designed primarily for clients whose projects we filmed. Because we were on set, we already know the footage, the story, and the goal — which means a tighter edit, faster turnaround, and a better result.

We don't encourage sending us raw footage from shoots we didn't film. If you're looking for a general video editing service for existing footage, there are excellent options for that — platforms like Fiverr connect you with freelance editors at a range of budgets and specialties. We're happy to point you in the right direction if needed.

Additionally, the standard $500/finished minute rate applies when post-production is agreed upon before your project begins. Adding post-production after the fact — when our schedule has already been set — is a premium service billed closer to $650 per finished minute, based on the demand and timing of the request.

Important: The $500/finished minute rate applies when post-production is agreed upon before the project begins. In those cases, pricing is based on demand and availability, and typically runs closer to $650 per finished minute.

Rate is locked in when agreed before filming

The $500/min rate is reserved for clients who include post-production in the original project agreement. If you decide you'd like us to edit your footage after the shoot is complete, that's a premium service starting closer to $650 per finished minute — our schedule is built around pre-planned workloads, and late additions require us to restructure our time management around your request.

We know your footage Our editor was on set — or worked directly from our production team's logs. No re-watching hours of footage trying to understand what happened. We start from context, not confusion.
Changes happen fast Revisions aren't routed through a ticketing system. You leave notes on the Vimeo review link, we address them the same business day on most requests. No waiting in a queue.
One team, start to finish The same team that planned and shot your video edits it. Creative continuity isn't something we hope for — it's structural. Your vision doesn't get lost in handoffs.
Transparent pricing, always $500 per finished minute. You know the cost before we start. No surprise invoices, no scope creep charges for normal revision rounds, no hidden fees.
Post-production done by the people who
shot your video.

Most production companies outsource editing to a third-party editor or remote freelancer who has never seen your venue, never met your client, and has to rebuild context from scratch by watching hours of raw footage.

We don't do that. Our post-production is handled in-house by our Austin-based team. Brian Gomez, our remote colorist and sound engineer, works directly with the production team on every project. The result is a tighter edit, a faster turnaround, and a final product that actually reflects your vision.

"Changes are done quickly because we're not waiting on someone who has never seen the project before." — Jacob Perkins, Owner · Hen's Bread Productions
Everything is on timecode
Every shoot we produce is recorded to timecode — a synchronized timestamp embedded into every camera and audio source from the moment we roll. This means our audio and video are always in perfect sync, down to the frame, across every angle and every microphone.

When your footage arrives in the edit, we're not hunting through hours of raw files trying to manually sync audio to picture. The day is already organized before we even open the timeline. Timecode gives us a clear view of everything that happened — in order, in sync, ready to cut.
Built for any editor to pick up
If you choose to have your own editor or in-house team work on the footage after we film — that's completely fine. Because everything we shoot is organized to timecode and logged consistently, any professional editor can open our project files and get straight to editing. No re-syncing. No guesswork. The organization does the work before the edit even begins.
Why a team beats a cheaper solo editor Editing is a skill.
Coloring and sound are different skills entirely.

Not every video editor is a colorist. Not every colorist can mix broadcast audio. These are highly specialized disciplines — rare to find combined in a single person, and almost impossible to find at budget rates without sacrificing one for the other.

It's the same reason not every photographer is a graphic designer, and not every graphic designer knows how to use a camera. Different crafts. Different years of practice. Different results.

Our post-production requires a team because making something great requires people who are genuinely excellent at their specific role — not one person stretching thin across three disciplines they half-know.

Timecode runs through every stage — all cameras and audio stay frame-perfect from ingest to delivery. If you bring in a different editor after we film, they can open our project files and get straight to cutting. No re-sync. No guesswork.

Post-Production & Video Editing Services — Austin, TX

Hen's Bread Productions offers professional post-production and video editing services in Austin, TX for corporate clients, event organizers, businesses, and content creators across Central Texas. Our in-house editing team handles every stage of post-production — from rough cut assembly and multi-camera editing to color grading, audio mastering, motion graphics, and final delivery.

Our standard post-production rate is $500 per finished minute — a transparent, flat-rate structure with no hidden fees or surprise invoices. This rate applies when post-production is agreed upon before the project begins, allowing us to plan our schedule and workflow accordingly. That rate includes multi-camera editing, color correction and grading, audio cleanup and music balance, and delivery in H.264 and ProRes formats. Captions and SRT files are included at no additional charge. Motion graphics are billed at $30 per 3 seconds of animation. Social media cuts and expedited 48-hour turnaround are each available for $350.

When clients decide to add post-production after the project has already been filmed — without it being part of the original agreement — this is considered a premium service. Because our workload and schedule are planned in advance, late additions require us to restructure our time management. In those cases, pricing is based on demand and availability and typically runs closer to $650 per finished minute. All finals are delivered digitally — clients who need raw project files or footage on a physical hard drive can add that for approximately $350 covering the drive and postage. For clients who don't need a full edit but want professionally color-graded footage they can hand off to any editor, we offer a footage color grading only service for $550 — this includes color correcting and matching all raw clips for consistent skin tones and exposure, delivered on a hard drive with both raw and colored files included.

What sets our post-production apart is that we edited the footage we shot. Our team doesn't hand your raw files to a freelancer who has never seen your project. The same people who planned, crewed, and captured your video are the ones assembling the edit — which means faster turnaround, tighter storytelling, and a final product that reflects your vision rather than someone else's interpretation of it.

Our current post-production turnaround is approximately 20 business days for a 3-minute finished video. Rush delivery (48-hour turnaround) is available for an additional $350 when our schedule permits — confirm availability at the time of booking.

This service is designed primarily for clients whose video we produced. If you have footage from a shoot we didn't film, we recommend exploring freelance editing platforms like Fiverr, which connect clients with editors at a wide range of experience levels and price points. We serve clients across Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, San Marcos, and all of Central Texas. Book a free consultation or call (512) 893-2709 to discuss your project.
