Hen's Bread Productions is based in Austin — but we go where the work is. If your event, conference, or brand shoot is in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or anywhere else in Texas, we'll be there. Travel costs are added to your quote at cost. We don't mark up gas or hotels. Jacob will give you an exact number before you commit to anything.
Dallas Texas
Travel costs are straightforward — we add them to your production quote at actual cost. Mileage at the current IRS rate, hotel at whatever we book, no markup, no handling fee. You see the full number before you sign anything.
For day trips under three hours, there's typically no hotel. For longer hauls we book one night minimum. For cities like Lubbock or El Paso, a flight is often more practical than driving — we'll give you both options and let you decide.
The production itself is priced exactly the same as an Austin shoot. Distance doesn't change the camera package, the crew, or the quality of the edit.

These are estimates only — actual travel costs depend on fuel prices, hotel availability, shoot date, and crew size. Jacob will provide an exact travel figure as part of your production quote before any agreement is signed. We never add travel costs after the fact.
Sony FX6/FX9 cinema cameras, DJI Ronin 4D, multi-camera setup, professional audio — the full Camera Van package travels with us. Distance doesn't downgrade the production.
We edit what we shoot. No matter where the production happens, the footage comes back to Austin for color grading, editing, and delivery by the same team that was on set.
Out-of-town shoots don't get subcontracted to a local crew you've never met. Jacob is on-site and running the production. Same person you talked to on the phone.
We've traveled out of state and we'll do it again — but out-of-state shoots are a different conversation than Texas work, and we think you deserve to know exactly what that means before you book us.
Flying changes what we can bring. Two cinema cameras, professional audio, and our full post-production capability fit in cases that check on a plane. What doesn't fly is the Camera Van — the full multi-camera rig, the lighting package, the grip equipment. For the right shoot, a stripped-down kit is still exceptional work. For a shoot that genuinely needs five cameras and a full lighting grid, we'll tell you that honestly rather than show up underprepared.
Equipment we can't carry can often be rented at the destination and shipped in advance. We coordinate that — rental costs go on your quote at cost. What we won't do is hire a local production crew on your behalf. It's either us on set or it's not us. We're not a broker.
