Why FAA Certification Matters
Not all drone operators are legal.
FAA Part 107 certification is required by law for any commercial drone operation in the United States — meaning any drone work you pay for. An uncertified operator puts you and them at legal risk. Footage shot illegally cannot be used commercially without liability exposure, and the operator's insurance is void without certification.
Max Cunningham, our drone operator, holds FAA Part 107 certification and carries commercial drone insurance. Every flight we conduct across Central Texas is legal, insured, and documented. That's not a differentiator — it's the minimum standard. We just happen to be one of the few Austin-area crews who actually meets it consistently.

The Operator
Max Cunningham — FAA Part 107 certified.
Max Cunningham is our drone operator and second camera on every production. FAA Part 107 certified, commercially insured, and trained on the DJI Mavic 3 Pro. He doesn't just fly the drone — he's integrated into the production day from call sheet to final export.
Because Max is on set for the full shoot — not just the aerial segment — he understands the full story being told. That context shapes what he captures from the air, how the footage cuts together, and what the colorist needs to match the ground cameras.
We tell you where drone adds value and where it doesn't. If ground coverage gives you a better shot, we'll say so. Drone is a tool — not a default add-on we push on every project because it looks impressive on an invoice.
Every flight is planned in advance — airspace authorization checked, weather windows confirmed, shot list reviewed. Nothing is improvised in the air.
